Violet has her own dragon now. What do you think of how we were introduced to Tairn?
Violet and Tairn’s first flight together was off to a bumpy start. But their bond is clear, and everyone loves a friendly amount of banter, right? In Chapter Fifteen we also realise something amazing. The golden feathertail has chosen Violet as her rider as well. What do you think this will mean for the future? What are your first impressions of the feathertail (both from within the valley and in the landing)?
We’ve already started to see a change in Violet as she has made her way through her first year at Basgiath. Now that she has her dragons, we can assume that she will only gain more confidence. Do you think she will gain enough confidence to stand up to her mother? She has already stood up to Jack Barlowe a handful of times.
Chapter Sixteen is a whirlwind of events. We’ve now learned that Violet has two dragons, that Dain would not have stepped in to help Violet event if it means she would have died in the valley, that he would have wanted her to go with Andarna instead of Tarin because it would mean Violet would never see the action, and we learned that Violet is about to become the number one target for the unbonded. What do you make of this chapter?

The levels of I LOVE TAIRN cannot be measure. I giggled out loud everytime he had something to say. He is so sassy and I love him for Violet.
The feathertail to me seemed like it was testing Violet to decide if it wanted to bond with her or not and ultimately decided she was worth bonding to which I absolutely love. For me it shows her inner strength and compassion.
I really hope she’ll eventually stand up to her mother, but as someone with my own mommy trauma, who knows.
Chapter sixteen is intense, it definitely changes my view of Dain completely and it’s foreshadowing for the rest of the book and how Violet will be treated.

Chapter 14 – 16: I actually loved the introduction of Tairn and when he spoke to her I literally screamed!! The fact that she had such courage to stand up and protect the Feathertail whilst being outnumbered truly showed her character. I can completely see why both Andarna and Tairn bonded with her. Andarna seems like she has such a sweet nature but is definitely not to be underestimated.
I believe that if she continues along this trajectory she will be able to stand up to her mother as well.
Chapter 16 was filled with so many whirlwind emotions. I’m truly disappointed in Dain, knowing how much of a stickler he is for rules and how he would value that more than trying to protect his so called best friend, this truly speaks wonders about his character. I’m excited to see Violet grow from strength to strength in the coming chapters.

• I honestly love Tairn from the moment the Professor spoke of him. I’ve also spoken of how I’d very much like Tairn as my own dragon 😂 Tairn being introduced like that shows he is protective and won’t stand for another dragon dying.
• loving the banter between rider and dragon! I think this means Violet’s honour is worthy of two dragons. I love that she has them both bonded to her and think if anyone deserves it, it’s her. The determination she showed in trying to protect the golden dragon was amazing. I’m eager to find out more about the feathertail. I think its a cute softie right now. Violet having 2 dragons will earn her respect but also a wider target on her back as well.
• Yes! At some point or another Violet will speak up against her mom. Its inevitable.
• Things are picking up to the point where I wanna just sit and devour this book. Dain annoyed me so much in this chapter and I’m now 100% team Xaden for her. I’m also happy that Rhiannon and the others bonded with dragons.

Okay, maybe so Tairn is my favourite. He is one sassy boy. I love this dragon’s personality. It’s strange though that she has two dragons – but what would a good fantasy be without a protagonist without exceptions?
Standing up to a enemy that is a mere acquaintance is one thing, but standing up to someone you’ve known your whole life is another. It’s hard to say if Violet will work up the courage to stand up to her mother. But I beleive that if she continues to grow and maybe learn from Tairn a bit, she will definitely gain enough confidence to have a bit of a chat with mother dearest.

Honestly this whole bit was A LOT in the best way, I was legit on the edge of my seat a couple of times.
I’m over Dain and I’m glad that their kissing showed her she isn’t about that life. I’m a bit annoyed by her and Xaden being “forced” to keep each other alive because their dragons are mates. It’s giving forced proximity, let’s see how it develops

I cannot properly express in words how much I love Tairn! I loved the way his character was introduced in the books. He’s the perfect sassy character, and adds some great humour to the chapters.
I loved the feathertail. It’s very clear early on that she is sweet and caring, and I really enjoyed seeing her reactions toward Violet. As for what it will mean for the future, I think this feathertail will play an integral part in this story. There’s a reason she bonded with Violet, alongside Tairn, and I’m extremely curious to see where that will lead considering we don’t know much about the feathertail.
Without a doubt I believe Violet will stand up to her mother, but I do think it will take time.
I enjoyed chapter 16 thoroughly. We get to see more of Violet’s courage, and we truly start to see the true nature of Dain. He’s a rule follower, so much so that he would watch his “best friend” die, all because he “had to stick to the rules.” We also continue to see how Dain views Violet—as someone who is not fit for war and fights, or able to defend herself (this is something that annoys me an immense amount about Dain).

I love how we were introduced to Tairn. He is so intimidating, yet he has this humorous side, if it can be called that. The banter back and forth between him and Violet is everything. I wish I knew what he thought when he first saw Violet, like from his POV.
I LOOOOOOOVE the feathertail so much! I feel Andarna is also judged because of her appearance, much like Violet, and that’s why their bond is so unique. Both have inner strength and don’t give up easily.
I feel that Violet has grown so much, in different aspects of her character and I think this will help her to stand up to her mother.
Chapter 16 was so intense. I feel Dain’s true intentions came to light. Instead of trying to encourage Violet, he is clipping her wings.

Tairn’s entrance was EPIC! While he comes off as scary, I like that we get to see his sarcastic side.
I think that having two dragons shows how powerful she will become. Andarna is SO CUTE and she seems curious, this shows that she might be young.
As she gains more confidence in her abilities, I do think that she can stand up to her mother.
I absolutely loved these chapters! The action, the drama, the suspense!
