This is a fun second chance, friends to lovers romance set at Christmas. Tessa Bailey is an author I always reach for and I was so excited to pick up her latest novel!

This was a light, feel good, easy read with a sprinkle of the iconic Tessa Bailey smut. I also really enjoyed the music band element. This book reminded me so much of The Parent Trap which was such a fun movie!

The only gripes I had was that the FFC was kinda annoying at times and sometimes the MMC felt very generic…

In a snow-globe- this is about Beat and Melody whose parents were massive rockstars but eventually split. These two join forces for a livestream reality show where their main goal will be to convince their moms to perform again.

You will laugh out loud with the writing, enjoy the dual POV and if you are a forced proximity trope lover and a friends-to-lovers sucker- you will eat this up. It gave me parent trap vibes and I just cackled myself crazy with the mom banter.

In true Tessa Bailey style this is fast paced and enjoyable, and probably like a 2.5-3🌶️ rating.

Make some hot chocolate, get ready to laugh and snuggle up, your toes WILL curl!

You know sometimes you read a book and you think this will make a great movie? Well this is one of those times, this book really will make a great Christmas movie in New York. Tessa did an amazing job with these characters and giving them such distinct personalities. Although this was a fun lighthearted story, these characters really go through great transformations.

I loved Beat’s charming nurturing dad personality. He is very protective about them people he cares about and will do anything for them. He had this guilt about growing up in luxury that he loved giving away and he developed a kink the deal with that guilt. I really liked that aspect of the sorry and believe it helped rounding him off as a character.

Melody was sweet a bit awkward but so extremely funny, I just fell head over heels in love with her character. She is introverted and is extremely loyal to the people she loves. I related so much to her and her habits she made me laugh out loud. All she wanted was to be seen and that is exactly what she got from Beat, she felt seen.

Together Beat and Melody were just amazing because they really brought out the best in each other. They really are soulmates. From the moment they met, there was an instant connection and spark, making them instant friends. It takes them 15 years to reunite but it is as if nothing changed. Overall this was an amazing holiday novel that I would recommend for anytime of the year.
