I am the sky and the power of every storm that has ever been. I am infinite – Fourth Wing page 392
Violet has found her signet. She is a lightning wielder and now she must deal with the consequences. One of which is finally killing Jack Barlowe. Dain’s first instinct is to coddle her and tell her that she never needs to use her powers again. While Xaden’s is to share the reality of what having this power will mean. What do you think of this?
Amongst all the serious, there is also little bit of fun and some romance. Violet and Xaden seem to no longer avoid each other. Besides knowing that their relationship is canon, did you hope the two of them would end up together?
With a manifested signet, it is time for Violet to get training. Professor Carr has his own views on how Violet should wield her power. What do you make of Tairn joking about getting the wingleader and Xaden ultimately sending Violet a reminder of the previous night?
We are nearing the end of the book and entering the final chapters. It feels like everything is wrapping up except for Violet and Xaden. Xaden just seems to refuse to give in and let their relationship unfold the way it is meant to. Do you also feel like even though everything is wrapping up on the first year, something big is still to come? What do you think this could be?

Firstly JACK IS GONE. Beyond happy.
So much has happened the last two chapters.
Firstly I did not expect her signet would be lightning. That was a big shock, but I feel there is more too it. I feel like there is more to her character, her hair and signet is linked, for some sort, in me, is giving more of who she is than just the dragons she is bonded to. With Violet ready to walk the Parapet again, not for herself but for the man she loves, I am 1000% sure something big is still yet to come and I am so ready for it. -

Dain coddlign Violet at this point is no surprise. But he is certainly not helping the situation. Xaden on the other hand, attempte to actually help her with the feeling, albeit it in a very nonchalant manner. (I am just glad Jack is gone, let’s be honessssst). Xaden is the bestter option between the two lads for Violet, specifically personality wise. So naturally I am glad they will end up together.
I love the banter between Tairn, Xaden and Violet! Xaden is so real for sending that image.
Something is definitely going to happen towards the end of the book I have a feeling it’s going to be good, but also be a cliffhanger!

I think Dain is still seeing the small weak version of Violet and treats her accordingly even knowing that coddling her will not help her. Even though Xaden was harsh, what he said was real.
I did hope they would end up together, I think we’re set up from the start to see them as equal, as matches, and their getting together rings out a different side of each of them.
Xaden and Violet with her training is not just a fun little show of how they feel about each other, but it’s once again him knowing exactly how to give her a boost in the right direction without giving her all the answers.
Something big is coming, I won’t say anything because I’ve read this book before, but we get so many easter eggs and build up moments, something bigger than just their relationship needs to happen.

I think Dain can’t help himself but to coddle her. I respect Xaden for his vote of confidence – the contrast is welcome.
I definitely think there is more to come, but I can’t say what it might be.

• Daine’s approach was gentler which was also needed to be honest but so was Xaden’s realistic views. Personally I’d want to be comforted first thereafter go through the tough sh*t. Regardless tho Xaden did manage to calm her down with his “tough” love
• I was rooting for them hardcore. They are otp for real 🤩
• Tairn’s sassy-ness and banter with Violet is one of my favorite things! I love their bond. As for Xaden projecting their steamy night in her head, it was mischievous of him and hot 😂🔥 I ship them
• Definitely there is more to come considering there is Iron Flame and Onyx Storm. We still have questions about what exactly is happening on the border and battle fields with the war. Xaden and Violet need to formally become a couple, there’s the thing that Violet’s dad knew which she needs to realize and figure out plus so much more. It’s gonna be a fun ride that’s for sure

First off thank goodness Jack has now left the building! Dain can honestly go take a long walk off a short bridge at this point in time. I love that Xaden wants her to embarrass her signet and show the good she can do with it not only the destruction.
I love Violet and Xaden together, I think they both bring out such good characteristics in each other.
Oh definitely… something big is on the way.. patiently waiting for Rebecca Yarros to drop it on us!

This is the moment I’ve been waiting for! Such a powerful signet! Once again Dain just frustrates me. While I understand he’s trying to console Violet, I feel Xaden’s approach is much better. Violet needs to make peace with her signet and learn how to use it instead of being scared of it.
Of course I shipped Violet and Xaden from the beginning! But to be honest, I had some hope for Liam too.
That moment was definitely something, if only Professor Carr knew what ‘activated’ her signet! But it was all fun and brought a good laugh.
I feel it’s like a storm brewing. Something is coming because there’s no way it can end like this. It’s just too good to be true.

Dain’s coddling will never not get on my nerves! He still views Violet as a fragile person, whereas Xaden sees and treats her as an equal. Dain should take notes.
I remember the first time I read FW and I kept screaming for Xaden and Violet to get together. I think the two of them still have a long road ahead of them but there’s no doubt in my mind that they are end game.
Tairn will forever be my favourite character in this series. He never fails to have me laughing so hard I nearly choke on my coffee. I also really love seeing small moments of playfulness coming from Xaden and Violet, and their banter is just top tier!
Something big is definitely coming. And that is all I shall say to avoid spoiling it for those who are reading this book for the first time.

It really wasn’t the signet/power I thought she would have – I assumed it would be healing but the signet shows who you are at your core – which shows there is a lot more than meets the eye to Violet. Yes I did, Xaden is so misunderstood and Dain turned out to be a snake!
Tairn is probably my favorite character – the grumpiest and snarkiest dragon in Navarre but his attitude never fails to make me laugh!
Knowing the pace of this book, I knew something explosive was coming, I wish I could of protected my heart!!!

Of course Dain is STILL coddling Violet! Why is he still trying even though Violet has more power than him?!
Yes, I hoped that they would get together from the beginning…but it’s only the first book of the series so I’m unsure if they are end game.
That was one way to get Violet to use her power!
Yes, there’s only a few pages left and everything is too quiet…I do know what it going to happen though.
