Chapter Thirty-Two feels like such a wholesome chapter. Violet and Xaden confront their feelings for each other. Would you cross the parapet on a stormy night for the one you love? Violet was ready to risk it all to be with Xaden. Do you think it was worth it?
At the end of Chapter Thirty-Two, Violet and Xaden are interrupted by someone knocking on the door. How serious do you think the attack is at this point?
We quickly learn that although Navarre is not getting attacked beyond the usual skirmishes, War Games have officially started at Basgiath. What do you make of the Fourth Wing being stationed at Athebyne?
Dain seems reluctant for Violet to go with Xaden. What do you make of this hesitation on his part? What do you make of him saying “I’ll miss you”
Chapter Thirty-Four throws everything we know about Xaden into the fan. What do you think his relationship with the Gryphon riders is? What do you think they are doing in the forest?

I would cross a thousand parapets for the one I love. I think once you care deeply for someone, and you love them unconditionally, you are willing to face many obstacles for them. I would cross the parapet for my significant other without even thinking about it. So do I think what Violet did was worth it? Yes. Sometimes you need to be willing to take some chances.
I think it’s quite serious. There’s a lot at stake, and this is definitely setting up for Iron Flame.
I think it was a strategic move, and that is all I’ll say to avoid spoiling anyone.
Underneath that annoying exterior of Dain, he does care for Violet, despite his motives not being the best. So I think his words did come from a place of care. I think the distance will do them some good.
Xaden is smart, he wouldn’t do something without thinking it through, and coming up with a strategy.

I would definitely cross a parapet for the one I love. It was so worth it for Violet being there for Xaden. She took a risk and I think it just showed more of her character.
The attack, I think this is setting the scene for Iron Flame. Such a tense moment, I couldn’t read fast enough. Even though it’s War Games, I feel something is coming.
Those 3 words from Dain just makes me nervous. At this point I just want him to leave 😅 I know he cares for her, but I kind of feel those words were like a goodbye. Finally seeing she’s not going to change her mind.
The shock of Xaden and the Gryphon riders! I felt Violet’s emotions in my soul. I do think that there’s a meaning behind it and that Xaden wouldn’t do anything that will put others to harm.

I really thought shit was about to go down and people were being taken out right there at Basgiath! But in hindsight, that move was quite strategic and I was excited to see how it would all unfold!
Honestly red flag!! What does Dain know that we all don’t? What is actually going to happen? Is it something bigger and dangerous than they should expect??
I think they have some sort of a treaty where they help each other out as an act of rebellion for the revolution. But only time will tell…

I don’t know about ya’ll, but I am really glad that I need the one I love I can just give him a call. Because this girl? She is afraid of heights. But in all honesty, I don’t know if I would cross a parapet – I can’t do hypothetical. Maybe if it was a real-life “you need to save his ass” kind of thing, I would, but it is hard to say.
I think that for Violet though, it is worth it. She has been in tougher, more life-threatening situations, so crossing the parapet wasn’t such a challenge for as it would be for me. And I think it just shows how much she cares for Xaden (awwww).
I legit though that we were going into full on war dude. Not a “war-game”. Sheeeesh, these people make life more difficult than needed.
Could Dain’s “I miss you” mean something more? Does he know something? He gives me the jeepers creepers.
The Gryphon thing threeeeeew me. XAAADDDEEEEN. WHAT ARE YOU DDDDDDOOOOOIIIIIINGGGGG SOOOOON? Why are you with the supposed baddies? But maybe they’re planning a revenge? Idk, it might be too early to speculate.

I would definitely take the risk, crossing the parapet for my love, always.
I thought okes were going to war, but like immediately ha-ha.
I think Dain is always hesitant when it comes to V and X being together.
At this point I was on the edge of my seat. I was like sorry sir, yous are doing what???

I definitely would cross the parapet for the one I love. It was worth it, he needed her and she knew it, she understood him so much more.
I thought that everyone would be dying but it just shows how fantastic Yarros is an author, you never know what will happen next and the twists are spectacular!
Dain’s goodbye sounded ominous.
At first I thought it was a family member but it seems to be a reluctant truce between them – respect and a sort of friendship. Every time I think I know what is happening, BAM! Another twist!

I’ll probably shout from the beginning of the parapet 🤣 I think it created a shift in their relationship. Xaden finally realized he had someone who cares about him.
I’m not ready for what’s about to happen! Dain clearly knows what will happen at Athebyne.

• I think I might, it depends and love is always worth it especially love like that.
• I literally believed they were under attack but I was also disappointed they got interrupted 😂🙈
• I think at this point we all knew everything was gonna get serious and the stakes were getting higher.
• I’m so over Dain, his opinions mean nothing and he should shut his face and keep it to himself coz he is insignificant at this point.
• Okay at first I was like GASPS but I didn’t think he was being a traitor really. It’s not Xaden’s style. Also lowkey think Violet overreacted oop
