Today’s chapters start off with a trip to Jess’s spa. Jess quickly realises that Alex is definitely into getting pampered and ends up switching tactics. What do you think of their bond? Sarah was also invited to spend the day there and it seems like she is a good fit for the family. Unfortunately, the fun quickly comes to end when Roger texts Jess. Do you think anyone will do something about the way Roger treats Jess? Or is this a battle Jess will have to find out how to fight on her own?
Alex receives a lot of rejections for guide jobs but somehow manages to land one at her dream game reserve. How do you think this will go for her? What do you think of how Alex asked Antionette for a reference? Do you think this shows some growth in Alex’s character?

Things escalate from there… Alex chooses not to tell her parents about her new job. Do you think this was a mistake? What do you make of her telling everyone was she was leaving at seven but then sneaking out of the house at five in the morning?
The trip up to the lodge is fairly easy going until Alex arrives in White River. She quickly trades her Jeep for Nissan bakkie and then proceeds to steal Johan’s dog. While what actually was doing for the dog was a good act, do you think she could’ve gone about it in a different way?
Alex’s knight in shining armour arrives in the form of Marietjie. What do you think of her? Marietjie quickly banded to Alex’s side when she needed her. Do you think their friendship will be a lasting one?
What is your first impression of Yamihle? Alex’s interior design senses sense that the place is a little outdated but it still has so much potential.
What did you think of Kwanele and Legend? Was Legend’s request for Alex to take them on a game drive immediately fair?
The game drive goes fairly well until the group encounter a group of elephants and Legend urges Alex to go closer. What do you think of what she said? Do you think there was a better way she could’ve put it?
When returning from the drive, Alex texts the support group and mentions that somethings didn’t exactly go to plan. Saskia immediately asks what Alex did. Do you think this was fair? Or do you think that Alex’s reaction to what Saskia said was a bit unfounded considering all of the evidence?
During the dinner, Alex gets a feel for the other guides. It is clear that they all have a connection but once again, things seem to go astray when Alex realises that there are no vegetarian options for dinner. Dirk, the manager, reprimands the chef. What do you think of this altercation and Legend not stepping in?

Jess and Alex seem to have a closer relationship with each other than Alex does with any of her other family members, but I wouldn’t say that it is void of tension. Jess is obviously in a bad marriage and I really hate that for her, but she really needs to stop making excuses for him otherwise she really won’t get the help she needs when she needs it.
I think the fact that Antoinette was happy to give her a reference means that there are redeemable qualities in Alex and I hooe she really does grow enough to make something of herself.
While I agree with Alex not stating her gender in the application, I think her changing the reference letter was not okay. I would have rather texted Antoinette asking her to use her name instead of pronouns whe referring to her.
Her family is very strange but so is she, so I’m not sure that I would have ditched my family in the early hours of the morning but it’s obviously something she needed to do for her.
Growing up in a family who have always rescued animals, I think Alex did the right thing by taking the dog. I think I would have been too scared to do that though, seeing as the dealer had all her information 😂
I like outdated, so Yamihle sounds perfect to me! I want the bush to feel like the busy, and not some glamorous holiday.
I like Kwanele, I do not like Legend one bit. I don’t understand how you can be the owner of such a prestigious game lodge and be drunk all day. I would not put up with it. He is rude, he likes to flaunt his status around and it’s funny how he thinks he can call Alex out on her behavior when he can’t even be sober.
Saskia isn’t really at fault for asking what Alex did because she has proven time and again that it usually is something she did. I do feel sorry for Alex though, but it’s kind of the bed she made. I’m not exactly sure if I like Saskia yet or not though.
Legend, being the boss, should have definitely put Dirk in his place, he is a bully who obviously wants to pick fights with staff instead of actually understanding the workplace and it’s employees.
I think that Alex is going to have a rough time, it’ll be up and down but I think she can do it. -
I think this is a battle Jess will have to fight on her own, she needs to find the confidence to deal with her situation and put a stop to the emotional abuse and the cheating.
I believe Alex has a lot to learn but she definitely showed some growth in the way she asked for a reference.
Alex is a coward, deep down she has trust issues and is scared of letting others down. So she would rather try out the probation period first to see how it goes before getting anyone she loves excited about her new job.She should have most definitely tried to include the dog as part of the deal instead of just stealing the dog, knowing full well he had access to her private information.
I think their friendship will blossom, she immediately made her feel at ease which relaxed her.
Yamihle is definitely unconventional but he feels like he was blindsided by Alex CV, so now he is trying to test her wit and mettle. She really does need to work on her temper and how she comes across, remaining cool, calm and collected is a must in any profession.
I think they have such a close relationship and Alex is usually the one to act first and think later that Saskia was trying to get to the root of the problem immediately instead of beating around the bush.
Definitely a very interesting interaction, which I look forward to seeing how Dirk interacts with the others. It seems he has more control over the camp but I’m not sure if it is for the better. He definitely needs to work on his interpersonal communication skills.
Alex seems generally happy to be here, so I believe she will have a great time learning and that her training will go well.

Honestly, I found it a little strange that Jess would even suggest going to the spa when I assumed them being sisters she knows full well that her sister is not into pampering. That is not really something you just develop overnight. Jess should already know this about Alex. That being said, I liked that they included Sarah. I think it is really sweet how welcoming Alex’s family can be to new people. They are very open and accommodating when it comes to outsiders. As for the situation with Roger, I do not think anyone is actually going to do anything about the way he treats Jess. This is definitely a battle that Jess is going to have to figure out on her own. People can give her advice and help her deal with the aftermath, but ultimately it is her life and her choice. She either needs to decide to leave or accept the situation she is in.
I actually think she will do really well. I feel like there is some foreshadowing that someone at the reserve (AKA Kwanele) is going to help guide her through some of her rough edges, especially when it comes to hospitality. But with a little mentorship and experience, I think Alex will make a fantastic impression and become an excellent guide. I thought it was brave of her to reach out, especially to Antoinette of all people. I am not sure it shows full-on growth, but it definitely shows a level of maturity. She is willing to own her mistakes and accept feedback, which I respect.
I did not really like that she changed the letter. It kind of defeats the whole purpose of a reference if you are editing it to suit your narrative. I understand why she did it, just like I understood why she lied about her gender, but I do not think she should have touched it.
I think Alex not telling her parents was probably her way of avoiding being bombarded with opinions and having to justify her decisions. I do think sneaking out early was a little cowardly. I wish she had stayed to say goodbye properly. That said, I think she is scared of failing, especially in a family where her parents and siblings are all so successful. Not telling them about this job might have been her way of protecting herself from the pressure of their expectations, especially if things went wrong.
I do think she could have handled this differently. She did not even know the situation, did not ask any questions, and just saw a dog and took it. There were definitely other ways she could have helped or gotten the dog safely.
I really like her. She is sweet and seems really down-to-earth. I also love that there is another female ranger. I do think their friendship is going to become a strong bond, which is great for Alex, especially having someone close to the lodge she can lean on besides Saskia.
I don’t know what to make of the Lodge. I mean it is expensive to refurbish designs constantly, but I think the purpose of the statement was, almost in a way, leading to a foreshadowing in the plot that Alex is going to take the lodge to a new level. Especially since this is the second time she’s shown an interest in making a place better (Giving the feedback on The Plains Questionnaire) I think that might be where her calling is: taking what she’s learned from her mother and making a Lodge good. I think it’s going to be one of the factors that’s going to keep her at the Lodge because she’s so good at making the experience better for people.
I agreed with everything Alex said to Legend about the elephants, but I do think she could have said it in a more polite and calm way. She jumped straight from zero to one hundred with the “then I don’t want to work here” line, and I think it could have been handled with a more measured explanation. Explain the risks, explain the behaviour of the animals, keep it professional rather than emotional.
Honestly, yes her reaction was fair. Saskia knows Alex really well, and their relationship is very close. Given Alex’s track record of making impulsive decisions, I do not think it was unfair of Saskia to assume that Alex did something wrong. This was not someone forming an assumption out of nowhere. It was based on experience.
I do not think it was fair that Dirk reprimanded the chef. As Alex said, no one asked her for her meal preferences. The chef made what he thought would work. If they had asked, I am sure he would have catered for her properly. Dirk’s reaction was unprofessional, and I definitely think Legend should have stepped in, maybe not in front of everyone, but he should have called him aside that night and called him out.
I do, but I think there are going to be a lot of chaotic situations along the way. Things are definitely going to go completely sideways at points, but this is a book after all, and I would expect nothing less.

1. Jess knows her sister well. I think she wanted to spend time with her more than anything. Was very thoughtful of her to switch tactics! I do think Jess will have to fight her own battles when it comes to dealing with Roger because she’ll continue to make excuses for him until she comes to terms with everything herself.
2. Her message to Antoinette seemed slightly juvenile…I expected her to phrase it better. I do think it showed some growth as she was willing to put her pride aside to ask for it. I also think she’s going to struggle to maintain some of her lies.
3. It felt a little underhanded to alter it in anyway as it takes away the authenticity of it.
4. I completely understand her reasons for not wanting to tell them about it and this also speaks volumes to her family dynamic. Her avoidance tactics are on another level, as she hides even from the people meant to be closest to her, and I think that’s so lonely.
5. Yes! She could have put some food and water out, and called the SPCA to handle the situation.
6. I thought she was this light, bright energy who didn’t immediately call Alex out for her behavior which was nice. She seemed friendly and genuine so eager to see how their friendship develops.
7. It does sound like a wonderful place to visit! Alex ‘s thoughts on opinions of the places she’s worked at it quite interesting, and I think she has alot of good knowledge to run an establishment of her own.
8. Legend was an interesting character. The state he showed up in was not a good first impression. Alex herself didn’t leave a good first impression but immediately bringing up the contract but I do think Legend wanted to throw her in the deep end abit as a result of their interaction. Kwanhele was harder to read but the small smile he shared with Alex tells me that he is impressed with her, but also wants to sus her out more.
9. Yes, she could have stood her ground without panicking and being disrespectful to her boss (even if he is abit disrespectful himself)
10. Given the reason why the support group started…I understand her initial response…but it isn’t great to think the worst of someone so as her friend, Saskia could have instead asked what happened before jumping to conclusions.
11. Again, Kudos to Alex for recognizing the horrible situation Dumisani was in and attempted to put out the fire. She handled this more maturely than other instances. I think Legend’s drinking also inhibits his ability to work in the evening…but it was an opportunity for the Dirk to step up, and for Legend to see how he handles it.
12. Uhh I think it will be filled with ups and downs. She’ll probably show her aptitude for her line of work but her lack of filter is definitely bound to get her into trouble.

Jess has a choice to make, shut up or speak up.
Alex was deceitful in her asking for a reference, she knew what she needed and what needed to do done to get it. No, lol there’s no growth in Alex at this point.I totally get Alex and her reasoning but she needs to own up to her choices and feelings.
She should have spca or take the dog to the vet.Marietjie seems like a nice person. Yamihle does sound very private and exclusive.
I’m liking Kwanele and Legend. One is cool and calm and the other is “out of control” 😅 perfect pair really.Alex handled herself so well on the drive, I’m actually so proud of her, but loved Legend standing his ground.
If I was Saskia I probably would have thought the same.
Alex did say “I’m tired of being me”.I appreciate Alex stepping in and I’m disappointed Legend did not.

I think that Alex and Jess have a good relationship. I think that Jess is the only one that can change the way Roger treats her but i do think the inspiration or motivation will come from Alex and their ever growing relationship.
I think that it will force her to grow because this is actually something she truly wants. It isnt just a stepping stone and she will know that if she doesnt try harder to be less impulsive that she will lose her dream job. I think that her message to Antoinette was not as good as it could be. I do however think that it was a step in the right direction and showed some sort of growth as she is doing something hard for her so that she can attempt to achieve her goals.
I think that it wasn’t the right thing to do and it is just adding on to the long list of underhanded things she is doing to get this job.
I understand why she didnt tell them. They might have interfered and then Alex’s lies would be revealed. I think she has definite trust and avoidance issues because she did the same thing when she left The Plains.
I do think she could have gone about it in a different way but then its also too soon for that kind of growth. This act is in line with what we have learnt about her character so far.
I think it will be a lovely friendship and will help Alex not to feel so lonely. I believe Marietjie will see through all of Alexas nonsense and help her grow even more.
It sounds like a lovely place to go to and work at. I think that Alex knows a lot about how things should run and perhaps we will see them take on some of her ideas.
I think that because they had a rough first impression of each other he decided to be spiteful. And i think it is a bit funny because Alex is finally being called out on her behaviour and perhaps met someone who is willing to meet her blow for blow when it comes to being impulsive.
Yes, she could have acted more professional. She needs to learnt that she cant always just say whatever she wants.
I think that both acted in a way they saw fit the situation. I think it was easy her Saskia to assume it was Alex in the wrong based off of what Alex has told her.
I think that it was nice of Dirk to stand up for her in that moment but the extent of it was harsh. It is Alex’s first day and the chef could have made an honest mistake.
I think it will be a lot of hard work considering the amount of growth Alex needs to go through. But considering this is her dream job i think she will nail it!

I actually enjoyed seeing Jess and Alex connect — Jess seems like one of the few people who knows how to handle Alex without pushing her buttons. The whole Roger situation is tough though. I want to believe someone will step in, but it’s probably a fight Jess will need to face on her own.
Alex getting the job was a bit of a surprise, but I’m curious to see how she handles it. She clearly wants a fresh start, but editing that reference letter says a lot — she’s still defensive and trying to control how people see her. I’m honestly really interested to see how her character develops because right now, she has way too much of a temper. It’s like every interaction is a battle for her.
The dog rescue made me laugh — very Alex to go full vigilante over a mistreated animal. Marietjie showing up and supporting her immediately was such a win though, I love her already. Yamihle’s a bit run-down, but I think Alex will thrive in a place she can help improve.
As for the game drive, she handled the elephant situation well — firm and professional, even if her tone could’ve been softer. Saskia’s comment rubbed her the wrong way, but I don’t think it was that deep. The dinner scene was just awkward all around — no veggie option? Come on. And Dirk going off on the chef while Legend just sat there didn’t help.
I’m hoping training goes better. Alex has a lot of potential, but she really needs to get out of her own way.

I didn’t like that Alex tweaked the reference letter. It’s not truthful and it’s unethical.
I respect that she didn’t want to tell her family the truth about her job. It’s sad that she feels she needs to withhold information from them who are supposed to be the supportive figures in her life.

What she could have done is taken photos of the dog’s condition and environment, and opened a case of animal neglect/abuse at the SPCA or local animal services.Marietjie is so funny and very South African! I think she is a genuine person and I think her friendship with Alex will be very important.
I didn’t expect Yamihle to be so vibrant and eclectic. I was expecting a posh upmarket place with neutral coloura and a minimalist design.
Kwanele seems like a mysterious guy, but he is at least fair.
I don’t like Legend at all and wasn’t expecting such a loose cannon. My temper would definitely be flaring if I had this guy as my boss.

Kwanele’s little smile to Alex shows that he was impressed.Yes she could have purely stuck to the facts (that it wasn’t safe and it is her duty to keep them all protected) instead of adding further insult to injury.
She seems to always go one step too far.The whole point of the group is for this very reason. I think Saskia is so used to Alex causing inflammatory situations that she almost expects bad news everytime.
Dirk seems cut from the same cloth as Legend. Both are rude.
I loved how Alex stood up for Dumisani. I think Legend will deal with Dirk privately. Also, that he is always drinking doesn’t help either.It will be a learning curve for her, but yes I do think she will gain some good experience.

1. I’m beginning to become fond of the bond between Jess and Alex. I do think it will take time for their relationship to become more strong and understanding than it is right now. There’s a slight misunderstanding between Alex and Jess regarding emotional and personal things, I feel like the disconnect is mainly there. Regarding Jess’ situation, I believe she will have to come to the realisation that she deserves happiness and peace in her life. Hopefully, someone could help Jess see that and encourage her to take the next few steps that would benefit her.
2. I think this new job will be a new beginning for Alex. There will be hardships as she finds her footing amongst the group and she will have mishaps with her straight-forward behaviour. However, I feel like she’ll have the chance to grow since these are other people who may understand her better than those previously. Alex asking Antionette for the reference definitely shows growth since it’s such a difficult thing to do. It’s the small steps that matter at the end of the day x
3. Again, Alex changed a few things to benefit her-like she did with her application. I feel like these small tweaks will eventually catch up to her and make her stay at her new job a bit difficult. No one likes a liar and Alex is painting herself as one with these alterations. At the end of it, she’s making her situation worse in the long run…
4. I think keeping the job from her parents was initially okay-Alex wanted to keep this to herself just this once and make sure she could have the fresh start she’s always wanted. Although, I think she should tell them when she feels settled and confident. Leaving before her family woke up was understandable since her family can be quite difficult and unpredictable.
5. Alex seems to be quite impulsive. Instead of stealing the dog she could have maybe asked the owner if she could take him since the dog seemed to be a ‘nuisance’ to Johan. I know that it’s unlikely to happen, but stealing someone’s dog is a bit mal 😭
6. When Marietjie told Alex they could maybe “hide” Jackson, I immediately took a liking to her. I find her personality fun and intriguing whenever she converses with Alex. She adds an intricacy to the story and I hope their friendship becomes more wholesome as time goes on. I think the friendship will last, but I can’t say that with full certainty-Alex’s bluntness could cause Marietjie to experience hurt feelings/offense. I do think Marietjie is understanding though, so fingers-crossed!
7. From the descriptions of Yamihle, it is gorgeousss! I imagine it to be super fancy with high-end decor that makes Yamihle stand out. From Alex’s experience so far, I believe it to be a wonderful work place regarding the aesthetics + nature of the reserve. However, I think the staff will dull Alex’s journey slightly as there seems to be internal conflicts within the group.
8. Legend is rough around the edges and his behaviour is rather intimidating to be fair. I think he’s dealing with some internal/emotional situation that makes his actions so harsh. I feel that Legend’s actually a good guy, but there’s this tough facade that he presents to people. I’m excited to see more of him and his story. As for Kwanele, I see him being a quiet yet observant person. He seems to be a chilled guy and quite easy-going-however, it’s difficult to get a read on him at the moment x Oh, and Legend taking Alex on a game drive immediately was rather unfair. His decision was rash and careless, clearly done to intimidate and make Alex a bit uncomfortable. But, again, Alex is a GIRL-BOSS so obviously she handled it like the pro she is 💅
9. Alex handled the situation wayyy better than the previous excursion, but her verbal response was not the vibe. I do think she was rather disrespectful with what she said, there’s a difference between being straightforward and being rude. She should have been more respectful and calm-I’m glad Legend put her in her place a bit though, since what she said was a bit extra…
10. It was understandable that Saskia immediately thought it was Alex’s fault due to past experiences. I think it was a touch inconsiderate and maybe Saskia could have worded it in a manner where blame was not being given. It’s fair that Alex got a bit hurt since she wanted support from her friend, however the facts can not be ignored since her track record isn’t exactly clean.
11. Dirk reprimanding the chef in front of everyone else is distasteful. There was no way for the chef to know that Alex was vegetarian, and I guess it was Dirk’s responsibility to find that out. Legend could have led the interaction into a more positive place, however I do understand that he prefers to conduct those discussions in private in order to spare embarrassment. I kind of prefer that style than Dirk’s method. I also think Dirk probably wanted to place blame on someone else and make himself look good in front of everyone.
12. I think this job will be a bit more fitting for Alex, hopefully. She’s at a place now where she wants it to work and this is her dream job-I know she can mess it up rather quickly, but I hope there’s a part of her that will keep herself in check. I believe training will be a difficult since she has to fit into the social dynamic that has already developed. Alex’s knowledge about animals/nature and previous experiences regarding guiding will be the foundation of her new training cycle, which is super exciting!

I think that they have a good bond once they get past trying to behave in a certain way – they were having fun and not caring about how it looks. It does seem that Sarah will fit in well with the family. I think the family needs to support Jess so that she feels strong enough to stand up for herself, but things will only change when Jess has had enough and is ready for it to change.
I think that she needs to amend her behaviour and also be more guarded against just speaking or acting without thinking. I think the way she asked for a reference definitely shows growth on her part, she asked for help from Saskia but also, didn’t send something that wasn’t authentic. This comes across as genuine to Antoinette and so she gives her a deent reference.
I don’t think that it was honest of her to delete portions of the letter but also, it shouldnt have been shared in Word, surely it would be in a pdf to prevent this. I think Antoinette wants the best for Alex.
I think this is avoidance behaviour and in an Indian family, I’d never get away with it because my parents would have been awake 3 hours before I was leaving anyway 😀 I think her parents should know her by now and if they really cared, they would have made an effort to be up earlier to say goodbye. But Alex could have just woken them up before she left and said bye, therefore avoiding a whole show but still being courteous.
Having taken a dog from the driver of the tansport I traveled to high school with since I knew that he wouldnt take good care of it, I would likely have done the same. Johan obviously did not deserve to have a dog. But I did tell the driver, I was taking the puppy because he wouldn’t take care of it and I think she should have told him that she’d take the dog. The way Johan spoke about it, I don’t think that he would have objected.
I think that it could be since they are the only two females there and they are so facing the same issues. She seems supportive and kind and hopefully will be a good influence on Alex.
I think it sounds quite nice but it could benefit from some updates and maybe Alex to contribute to this based on her interior design knowledge.

I think that he wanted to test her ability on think on her feet, especially since she had misled them to believe that she was a male. I don’t think that he held it against her but wanted to be sure that she could do what she claimed to be able to do.I think it was great that she stood her ground but she definitely could have been more tactful about how she handled it. She had won points with spotting the whitewinged flufftail but by being unnecessarily rude, she could have lost her job. She could have said the same thing in a less abrasive manner.

I don’t think that Saskia was wrong in assuming that Alex did something wrong, based on her past behaviour but Alex feels hurt. I know she wants her friend to be supportive but I think she tends to forget that she often gets herself into situations because she doesn’t think things through.There was no need for Dirk to confront the chef in front of everyone. Being vegetarian myself, most people just assume that you’ll eat meat and I just used to assume that there would be a veg option. Now I know better and confirm this prior to events. Legend definitely should have stepped in
I’m hopeful that she is more aware of her part in losing her previous jobs and so will be more receptive to suggestions and less abrasive. I also think that she sees Kwanele as being amazing and so will be open to learning from his example

I think Jess and Alex have a very close relationship. Jess notices Alex’s discomfort and help her out. I think if any of their family stand up to Roger it will be Alex, but Jess will need to be on board with her.
Alex needed that reference and need to eat humble pie in order to get it. I think her approach with Antionette is good appologies can go a long way.
I personally have a problem with dishonesty so her changing the letter didn’t sit well with me. It may catch up with her.
Marietjie seems to be a very down to earth person and I think she is exactly what Alex needs – a friend in her new job – which she didn’t seem to have at The Plains. I think they could become great friends.
My first impression of Yamhile is that it’s a bit outdated for a 5 star lodge. It sounded datk and dingy which to me doesn’t say luxary or % star. So I was disappointed.
Kwanele is quite but I’m sure he keeps things going. He is the stability to Legend crazy – he seem to be more like a hippie than a lodge owner. Legend as the owner has every right to test Alex as a guide, he may have has a 6th sense about her deception of being a boy and turning out to be a girl. So testing her ability as a guide was the right call.
I think she could have been a bit more diplomatic but she correct in not moving forward.
I can understand why Saskia reacted the way she did, she knows Alex and her inability to keep her mouth shut.
I think Dirk should have gone into the kitchen to speak to the chef and not reprimand him in front of everybody. I think Legend gives the responsibility to the people in charge of department to handle it, hence not stepping in.
I think because Kwanele is training Alex it will go well, if it was one of the other guides it may have not.

1. I believe the bond between Alex and Jess is very strong, but I also feel that Jess doesn’t really understand Alex that well. As for Roger, yes, I think someone will have to put him in his place, but it would be more impactful if Jess were that person.
2. I think she may experience some ups and downs – everyone does at a new job – but I think eventually she’ll get the hang of it. Asking Antoinette might have just been for her personal gain, but I do believe she has grown a bit, especially after Saskia also made her aware that she may have made a mistake in how she was treating the guests.
3. It might not be a big deal, but it might cause some confusion at Yamihle, as they might be expecting a man.
4. I understand why she does not want to do it, her mom does sound a bit overbearing sometimes, so she might have an opinion if she learns where Alex is going to work. As for leaving earlier than what she said, again, I see why she did it, but I think she maybe should have just sent them a message saying she wanted to get an early start instead of just “ghosting” them.
5. Definitely, maybe call the SPCA instead of just nabbing a dog with no other game plan.
6. I think they both may have a falling out somewhere but Marietjie sounds like someone you want on your side.
7. It sounds like every other game lodge. I can smell what she is describing and see exactly what she is describing.
8. Kwanele seems like the employee that will be strict when things go wrong, but he will also be fair. Legend comes off as very bossy but I think he wants that first impression from people to remind them who is in charge. I won’t say it was unfair; bosses tend to change their game plan depending on how fed up they are with hiring and firing. If he wanted to get a feel for how she acts with guests, getting her on an immediate game drive might have been a good choice.
9. Alex should probably not have called him an arse. As before, she could’ve explained to him in a better way that it won’t be a safe encounter.
10. Saskia is just trying to look out for her best friend, so while the way her message came across as accusatory, she may have just been a bit concerned and didn’t want her friend to mess up the opportunity of a lifetime.
11. I like that Legend didn’t step in immediately. He had to get a feel for who Dirk is, and the more he lets Dirk do what he does in front of Legend, the more he will realise what kind of person he hired.
12. I think there may be some hiccups but I think things will go well for her in the end.
