1. Isla asking Celeste to include Grim clearly shows how devastated and desperate she was.
2. I wonder if what Grim said points to something more severe/big or if he just meant that her heart used to belong to him?
3. He’s done for 😭 Trust just got THROWN out of the window thanks to Grim taking her memories. It all makes sense now, though! I had originally thought he was sending them!
4. Grim explained that he needed her to fall in love with Oro; to repeat the original offense again. It was a valid solution, however extremely harmful.
5. CALLED IT. Celeste was way too suspicious! I always felt as if she were hiding something and not trustworthy.
6. Celeste turning into Aurora was a plot twist! It was quite thrilling! So many things to figure out now.
7. People probably did not want someone to possess that much power. I don’t think they were hiding it to stop it from happening again, but rather to hide a truth and a threat.
8. I did not expect Isla’s guardians to have been involved with Isla’s parents. I originally thought they were involved in some secrets that would harm Isla.
9. Isla loved Celeste; she was her best friend and that betrayal cuts deep 🙁 I agree that it was the biggest betrayal…but GRIM? HELLO?
10. The original offense makes more sense than love. It’s way more sinister and foreboding which is the nature of curses.

16. This is exactly why I would not be able to solve mysteries in any life. I did not think of Isla’s crown!!! DUH, that makes so much sense! I wonder what is hiding behind the door, perhaps a whole load of power or something unique!
17. I was truly so excited for this novel since the hype surrounding it was immense and positive. While Lightlark was fast-paced and incredibly addictive, I do feel like it fell short in terms of writing, scene building and character depth. I am also not fond of love triangles and I did not suspect Lightlark to have that trope so I was thrown for a loop 😂 However, I still love the concept since it is so unique!
My favourite scene was right at the end, actually, where Oro and Isla are standing on the balcony, finally seeing each other in the light of their love x

🖤 Isla jumping straight into a new plan feels very her. She does not sit in grief. Asking Celeste to include Grim felt risky but honest. At this point she is done pretending he is not part of this and that alone has me giddy.
🖤 When Grim said Isla’s heart did not only belong to her, that felt layered. It felt like fate, power, history. Like her heart is tied to something bigger than love and omg i need more grim asap!!
🖤 The dream memory reveal messed with me. It makes every soft moment darker. It means her connection to him runs deeper than she or I even realized in the beginning and that makes it more real.
🖤 Grim taking her memories away feels protective but also controlling. I understand why he might have done it. I still don’t like that he chose for her and im totally blaming Celeste for this because ugh that manipulative *insert choice expletive here*

What was your favourite scene? – there were so many unexpected twists! Not much was predictable, I wasn’t overly exposed to the plot on social media so I was able to go into it with a naive mind, which was wonderful, I really enjoyed Isla and Grims scenes, the hope of their continued story will motivate me to continue reading

I trusted Celeste but after a while I had my suspicion. It was a shock to see her turn into someone else.

I absolutely loved the book. The plot twists was shocking to me and my favourite moment was all the scenes with Isla and Grim together.

🌸 She knew that they are going to need more help because it won’t be easy to execute the plan.
🌸 Because she gave it to him and it wasn’t hers to give away.
🌸 I suspected for a while that Grim knew her before the Centennial began. So this was confirmation for me.
🌸 They had a plan to win the Centennial and he knew for her to do that her heart will be torn in 2. Was it wrong of him, yes. But getting to know Grim I suspect he had a valid point.
🌸 I had a feeling that she wasn’t all she seems to be. She was so overprotective of Isla and she didn’t want anyone to get close to Isla. That made me suspicious.
🌸 This was heartbreaking to be honest. I think by the sounds of it Violet was a lovely persion but Aurora’s jealousy was just to big.
🌸 Well it wouldn’t really make a difference because we learned early in the story that there was cross over lovers between realms. So even if this was the case it wouldn’t have made a difference. The fact that she is so powerful though is the biggest surprise.

🌸 It had to be something like that. I mean the betrayel had to go skin deep for someone to do all the bad things they did.

🌸 Well someone has to be the ruler of that realm and will it be Isla? If she is, that will give her more power and that of to create weapons etc.
🌸 That honestly broke my heart. I know what Grim did was maybe not the right thing but everything he has done from the beginning was for Isla.
🌸 I did not expect the crown to be the key. I think behind the place of mirrors will be something that teaches her how to use the power she has.
🌸 My expectations were quite high and some of them were met and others not. I know in every fantasy book their will be betrayels but this felt very predictive. The scene I like the most was every scene with Grim. I enjoyed his character so much. -

5. I only had suspicion to the degree that I wasn’t sure what might happen next, but the extreme character change was a big surprise to me.

17. Yes, the book did surprise me and kept me captivated. However, I can say I expected it because the synopsis sounded so great. There were predictable moments but for the most part, I was pleasantly surprised and had fun reading this story. My favourite scene, or one of, was Isla making tea for Oro and them falling asleep. It felt like a wonderful pause in the story.
