Onyx Storm Day Four

Perhaps the point of this is not to deny rebellion, but to only go to war with those you trust implicitly – Onyx Storm page 171

What seems to be a romantic stroll through the shadows quickly turns sinister when Xaden helps Violet find him in the darkness. Do you think Violet would be capable of killing Xaden?

Aaric is yet to manifest his signet. Signets are based on the individual, what do you think his will be?

Who did you think the “first love” clue related to and if you think it was Violet’s first love, who did you think it was?

What do you think Halden is trying to accomplish with Violet? He seems to be the kind of person who doesn’t do anything unless it benefits him. What do you think he will gain from being in Violet’s life?

What do we think of Xaden getting jealous of Halden and blasting him into a wall?

Violet worked out the puzzle to gain access to her father’s research. What do you make of his note to Violet? Do you think it is interesting that he never toyed with the idea that Violet might cross the parapet?

The first mission with the task forced assembled by Grady ends terrible. Aura started a fire that attracted the wyvern which got her killed. Do you think this could have been avoided if both Grady and the Senarium listened to Violet?

Violet has learned something crucial about Ridoc, he might have the opportunity to manipulate the water in a person’s body. Do you think he will master this skill before it is too late?

Violet has also finally given the Senarium a piece of her mind. What do you make of her standing her ground and laying down the law essentially?

I do think she would be able to kill him.

    Random thought maybe illusions?

I had no idea who Violet first love was.

He might be trying to use violet for his own agenda.

Well he did deserve it? Maybe not but it was fun to read about. So go Xaden!!

He might have underestimated violets courage to cross the parapet.

Yes it could of been avoided if they listened to Violet.

I do because he is a very determined person.

    It shows growth and empowerment.

Honestly, I don’t think she would be able to live with herself if she killed Xaden. She would never sacrifice him no matter how evil he turned.

Oooo Aaric is an interesting one, having read this book there was so much foreshadowing that I feel like an idiot for not realising his signet faster.

The first love clue, has to be related to the dragons because their bond is for life.

Arggg Haldon is a typical jock, he wants what he can’t have and he wants to have the trophy ‘wife’ to show off. The way I was feral when Xaden became so protective and possessive over Violet 🙌 yes please!!!

I think her father brought her up as a scribe because he knew in order to defeat the venin one day she would have to be intelligent enough to read through the lines and not see everything as black and white.

I feel like Aura’s death is karma after everything Violet has had to endure. It just proves that they should have listened to her demands.

I think Ridoc has been the underdog for way too long and I look forward to seeing his character growth in this book.
Violet is finally showing she has a backbone and I am here for it!!!

    1. I want to say no way…that Vi loves him too much to hurt him that way. Then again…if I think about the final episode of GOT…sometimes people sacrifice love for the greater good.

    2. I had no clue actually! I did think it would be really powerful as he’s bonded to a powerful dragon as well.

    3. I thought it was related to her dad’s first love. Seeing Violet’s reactions everytime Haldens name was mentioned, I was almost certain it was him!

    4. Absolutely nothing. I think he was just doing it because Vi is suddenly interesting and caught his attention.

    5. I was squealing with absolute delight! I think it’s great to see Xaden lose abit of control, similar to the way Vi did with Cat.

    6. He had trained her all her life to become a scribe (and obviously her mother was fine with it at the time?) So I guess I’m not surprised. He probably wanted her to, since she was like him.

    7. Definitely! I cannot believe Auras behavior and I’m not surprised it ended the way it did.

    8. I loved that everyone was training and upping their game. I definitely thought he could do it in time.

    9. Vi has been an absolute powerhouse and she has the backbone of someone who deserves to lead. She is brilliant and I think it’s time people take her seriously.

I don’t think she would. She might be able to, but she never will.
At this point I have no idea what signet Aaric would have, everything is such a surprise. I think with a reread it might be easier to spot.

I found the first love part quite interesting. I don’t think it’s linked to a person though.
Halden is unexpected and I don’t know his character well enough, but I have a feeling it’s to do with Andarna.

I love that Xaden got jealous, it just shows once again how he feels about Violet.

That letter from her father! I was so shocked. I don’t think he ever expected Violet to leave the scribes.

They should just have listened to Violet. So many things would have been different.
I think Ridoc is going to surprise us all. He’s like a wild card now this new skill.

Violet is known for not giving up and I am so glad to see that she still has that fire despite of all the pain and loss.

I think Violet is the only one capable of killing Xaden, which is something I don’t want to dwell on too much😅.

I think maybe he can predict the future? I have no idea though. He just seems like the type, I really don’t know how to describe it.

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea.

Again, I have no odea, my brain isn’t smart enough, but I can say that he’s most likely doing it to fill his own agendas, what they are though? I don’t know.

HOT. IT WAS HOT. I love jealous Xaden. And it was just an altogether fun scene to read!!

I think perhaps her father thought that it would never need to come to that? I think perhaps he though that her intelligence and way of thinking would one day be extremely beneficial.

Yes. Sometimes all you need to do is listen to Violet.

I HOPE HE DOES. Man I live Ridoc!

We love badass Violet in this house <3

I don’t think Violet will be able to kill Xaden, unless he does something that she can not forgive.
I’m not sure what Aaric’s signet will be, but i think he will have a powerful signet.
I had no clue on the fist love or Violets.
I think Halden thinks he can have whatever he wants and seeing Violet again and what she’s become he wants her to show off.
I loved jealous Xaden, it was so funny.
Violets dad always saw her as a scribe, the reason he left his books to her and not Mira.
I’m sure the mission would have been more successful if Violet could have chosen the team.
Yes I’m sure Ridoc will continue to improve on his skill.
Violet is showing leadership,” who’s the boss”, and I’m here for all of it.
