At the start of Chapter Five, Prue and her father sit around the piano. Based on Prue’s descriptions, her father is a natural player. Do you know how to play any musical instruments? Or did you ever want to learn?
Prue finds it very hard to leave her mother’s care in the hands of other people. On the other hand, her father just wants her to be young and carefree. In this tough situation, who are you more likely to be? Prue, who is willing to give up everything to help her mother or Prue’s father, who is willing to say goodbye to his wife so his daughter can have the life she deserved and the life her mother would’ve wanted for her daughter?

I would love to learn the piano… I think is would be as comforting as Prue’s Dad makes it out to be… an outlet when needed.
Tough indeed, but as a daughter I would totally want to be Prue and commit to my mother 100% but if im a parent i would definitely be more like Prue’s Dad here. It really does depend on my role here.
Prue doesnt seem to be confident in her feelings or it makes sense as she’s such a introvert that it hard to trust someone to be a friend.
I think Sef knows how worried Nik gets about his siblings especially Milo as he doesnt communicate well. And Sef thinking that someone like Prue would be good for Milo in a way having someone they know be around Milo instead of being alone.
I think that Prue’s father has more background on Milo from what we read as his wife spoke alot about him, so its actually quite special to find some that his wife remember now he might feel like there a connection.
The chemistry is undeniable although Milo is on the path of Wham Bam thank you Mam… and Prue is trying to ignore it 😂
There more about NIK that meets the eye here… I mean he has enough kids yo name the brewery after… also MANS is so cute and to even include Alex.
Definitely something catchy for sure… if I could add something with a personal touch I would also do so.
I think Prue is very empathetic and would probably understand Milo and a deeper level and why his personality is the way it is… a defense mechanism of sorts.
I think his family situation being known by both Prue’s parent made them feel like they need to protect him and see him flourish in a way they could help do so.

1. I can’t play a musical instrument but I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the piano and guitar.
2. Definitely Prue. I have a bond with my mom that no one understands and I definitely see where Prue is coming from. I would look after my mom the way she looked after me since birth.
3. She’s scared because she’s physically attracted to him and I don’t think she’s had a male friend that she’s been attracted to before, that’s why she backtracks.

5. Milo is excited to meet another Russian male especially since he’s attracted to his daughter. Prue’s father connects with Milo in a way that he’s father never did with him.
6. Milo comes on a bit too hard especially in the studio. It’s clear that Prue’s attracted to him however, he doesn’t get the message that she’s inexperienced.

1. No, I am not musically inclined at all lol. I wanted to in primary school, but never did.
2. In this situation I feel that I relate more to Prue. I would rather sacrifice and give up everything to help, than not to help and be there for someone.
3. I think she really needs a friend and she knows it, however she is also aware that that she is attracted to him and that ultimately something would happen between them, so she rather retracted that thought of friendship.
4. I think it is cute. Milo’s family clearly loves him and I think they want him to experience love and happiness in a partner, instead of being alone.
5. The connection between them is really sweet and has potential. For Milo, he can be the father figure he never had and to Prue’s dad, Milo reminds him of a time when his wife wasn’t ill and that Milo can be a potential friend to Prue. He also clearly knows about Milo as it was mentioned that his wife spoke about him.
6. They are both clearly attracted to one another, with Milo being more vocal about it and Prue being more cautious and skeptical about the attraction. Milo enjoys teasing Prue and tries to constantly get a reaction from her as she isn’t giving him much to work with.

1. I used to play violin and a bit of piano but like Prue I gave up on it much too soon.
2. As the eldest daughter I definitely would be like Prue. I’d give it all up for my mom, so I strongly connect with her need to be there for her mother.
3. Based on the way Prue describes Milo I think I’d also struggle to be just his friend!

5. I think this will be very important for Prue. I get the sense that her father’s approval and support will go along way in Prue living a bit more for herself.

1. I, unfortunately, do not but I would love to learn. I just dont think I have the rhythm/melody to do anything music-wise.
2. I think it depends on the situation but I would want to be more like Prue’s father and make the right decision for everyone involved, even if it is a painful decision to make.
3. She has obviously never had many friends, if any, nor any romantic relationships so it makes sense that she is indecisive in this regard – I cannot fault her for it. I think even the best of us might find ourselves indecisive from time to time, especially regarding a man like Milo.
4. We dont know enough about Sef yet but from what Milo has told us, she definitely seems to be the type who wan ts everyone to be happy and would meddle to ensure it! I love it

I love that Tom and Milo share their Russian origins and that Tom is that kind of laid back father who wants their kid to have wordly experiences and therefore, would support something like Prue seeing Milo – I think he’d support it even of it was casual, thats how much he wants Prue to experience life.

1. I don’t know how to play any instruments, but I’ve always been fascinated by the violin. I’ve just never had the dedication to sit down and actually learn to read music.
2. This question hit close to home. I looked after my elderly grandmother for three years before she passed away, and during that time, she lived with me. It meant sacrificing a lot of my own freedom and routine, but I wanted to be there for her. Because of that, I really resonate with Prue and her need to hold on to those moments. I understand why she struggles to let go and trust others with her mother’s care.
3. I think she’s attracted to him and doesn’t quite know how to deal with those feelings.
4. Oh, she’s such a little mischief-maker. I love it. It’s sweet how open and communicative Milo’s family is with each other. He told Nick and Aleks about the girl he met, and of course Nick told Sef. Now she’s nudging him in that direction. It’s all very wholesome and shows how close-knit they are.
5. I think it’s beautiful. When I travel and meet another South African overseas, there’s always an instant bond through shared heritage and understanding. It feels like that here too. They’ve found something special and familiar in each other, even though they come from very different backgrounds.

9. Yes, absolutely. I don’t think Prue’s the kind of person who would judge him for the way he lives. I think she’ll understand that his easygoing attitude is a way of protecting himself from his past and from the emotional trauma hinted at in his upbringing. She’s very emotionally aware, so I think she’ll meet that with empathy.
10. I think he’s the kind of person who just leaves an impact wherever he goes. Prue’s mom probably spoke about him after he left her classroom, maybe about the struggles he faced and how she tried to help him. That would’ve stayed with her husband too. It feels like Prue’s mom gave him a safe space in her classroom, somewhere he could finally breathe and be himself. -
Not at all – if I ever had to learn to play any instruments I would prefer the drums.
Coming from myself as a daughter, I would do anything in my power to care for my parents as I owe everything I am to them. That being said, I can imagine as a parent, you would want your child to enjoy being young.
I think she really wants to be friends with him, but the fact that she finds him attractive is holding her back.

I feel like both Milo and Tom seem like people who are easy to get along with, so it makes sense that they connect so quickly.
It is clear that there’s chemistry between them – I really can’t wait to see how things unfold.

I think so, yes. She may understand him better and understand why he is the way he is.
I think both of them possibly knew he didn’t have the best childhood and Prue’s mother possibly helped him where she could back when he was one of her students.

1) I used to play the guitar very briefly when I was younger – but a classical instrument like the piano or cello has always been a dream!
2) It’s tough – I see both of their perspectives and understand them – but I’m most likely to be Prue in this situation – she wants to look after her mom and I understand that! But I guess you would also need to be a parent to want to give your child the life she deserves. Her father is really strong to want to do that – because it means saying goodbye to his person. But, that being said, it’s also what she (his wife) would have wanted.
3) I get it – it’s hard to be friends if you find someone attractive! But in this case I also think Prue feels Milo is bad news.
