1. I think he’s super in love with Shona and that he hasn’t even admitted it to himself. I also think his dad is actually really nice and not the snob that Shona envisioned.

3. I think it’s an incredible opportunity for Shona to expand and grow as a person and a brand. It’s amazing and it is a natural progression for her business.

1.I actually felt a little sad reading Sen’s POV here. You can really tell how long he’s been carrying these feelings for Shona, almost like they’ve become part of who he is. And yet, he still keeps denying them, to himself and to everyone else. It’s bittersweet.
2. I think Sen’s dad is nudging him to finally tell Shona how he feels, how he’s always felt. His dad sees what’s so obvious to the rest of us: that this isn’t just a fling for Sen.
3. Yes, it feels like such a natural progression! Shona already makes veils for brides, so moving into dresses is just the next step. It fits beautifully with her journey and her business growth.
4. No, I don’t think so. If anything, I feel like this opportunity is exactly what she needs. It’s pushing her toward her full potential. Shona is stronger and more capable than she even realizes.

Oh i loved this so much! Sens dad made me laugh because he so clearly knows his son and it was such a cute moment between father and son. It also shows us that Sen has liked Shona for a very long time so much so that others (his father) around him have come to realise this before Sen himself.
I think he means in that Sen needs to tell Shonah how he truly feels before its too late.
It is a natural progression albeit a big one but a necessary one for Shonas business. Shonah accepting this job is great and its not her bitng off more than she can chew as she has experience in this. yes its daunting and a lot can go wrong but at the same time it can be fun and so much more can go right. Its the correct direction for her business and the breakthrough Shona has been searching for.
Shona probably felt slightly hurt and embarrassed and didnt want to further hurt herself by having Sen confirm that he was seeing someone new when really he wasnt. So it was easier to just leave before Sen introducing the girl to her.
Absolutely not. Its totally normal for someone to jump to conclusions and it doesnt make the person a drama queen.
I loved his reaction. He so clearly is proud of her as he knows this is all shes ever wanted to do for the longest time.

I liked this confession ! It was pretty obvious from the beginning but perhaps not so much to Sen. It was Shonas way of indirectly telling Sen that she likes him.

Sen doesnt entirely know where he stands with Shona so telling Sam would just make the news spread which is not what he wants.

I think that Sen refuses to acknowledge how he truly feels for Shona because he is afraid of rejection and of losing her.

I think it proves what I suspected earlier: he’s always had a crush on Shona or seen her in a romantic way recently, and either didn’t realise it or was holding back/ suppressing these emotions for the sake of whatever relationship Shona was willing to give him.

I think so. She’s already designing veils, and wants to be a wedding designer, so designing both veils and dresses seems like the next step in her business.
I think she may feel that way (there’s been a lot of overwhelming changes in her life lately), but I’m sure once she gets started, she’ll find that she loves designing and creating dresses along with her veils. Besides, this specific client will create great publicity for her business if she’s just as satisfied with the final product as she is with Shona’s designs.
She probably thought that Sen was moving on/ it was a new girlfriend and didn’t want to be confronted with that so soon after he ended their casual relationship. (The assumptions these two make drive me crazy. They honestly just need to sit in a room and talk things out.)
No, I think Shona’s response to the situation was valid considering she finally admitted to herself that she sees Sen as a boyfriend but now thinks it’s too late to mend things with him because he’s with someone else/ found someone else to date (according to her assumptions).
In a romantic context, I think he can’t get upset over the fact that she didn’t tell him, considering he recently burned that bridge and they’re in this weird post-breakup phase. As a person in an adult friendship, you usually find updates about your friends’ lives from social media anyway until the next hangout/ catchup session, so I didn’t expect Sen to be super upset over finding out the news in this friendly context either. Basically, I’m saying his reaction was on par with what I expected.
So far their interactions have been friendly, so I was cautiously optimistic he’d just be a kind neighbourly friend and not a love interest. Either way I think that, knowing Sen, he would make the same assumption Shona did and will think Sven is who Shona replaced him with, or he’ll see how friendly they are/ witness their banter and will be jealous.
I thought it was a fun and clever way to assure the readers he isn’t a romantic interest and merely just a new, supportive friend in Shona’s life.
I thought it was really interesting. We know from his conversation with his dad that Sen might have liked Shona, but knowing Shona and Sen could’ve been together earlier if it wasn’t for him ditching the girls to be with Andrea all those years ago. It probably confirmed her feelings that she and Sen can’t be together because they have different socioeconomic backgrounds.
I think he’s willing to rekindle their relationship on the terms that she’s comfortable with for now, and use that as his way into furthering/ progressing their relationship in a way that will become mutually beneficial for both of them (starting with trust first, then vulnerability, then being there for each other in a more romantic partnership).
I think it’s pivotal because it’s not a sexual favour in exchange for helping her; it’s a sign of affection that he’s asking for and that she’s willingly providing. It’s a positive step in the direction of them dating. Her willingly giving him a kiss is her sign to both herself and Sen that she (hopefully) isn’t going to regress in their relationship.
I think it’s both because their recently rekindled their relationship and these feelings and their intensity are new to him, and because Sen refuses to share it because not only is it new, but he needs to consult Shona about whether or not she wants to go public with any aspect of their relationship first.
She’s repressed a lot of memories about her family. Now that she’s not in contact with them, she’s able to delve into her family’s history in order to figure out why her father is that way that he is, and why her family dynamic is the way that it is.
Honestly yes. The amount of assumptions that the two of them jump to is insane. They need to just communicate with each other!
