1. I think it’s widely known everywhere that Russians are dangerous. He feared for his live and possibly his family’s safety.
2. Yes, with detectives who know what they’re doing they could easily connect the two.
3. No, this case is complicated. I think they still have a lot to figure out.
4. I think Clarissa might even trust Dolf with her life.
5. A tad dramatic? But maybe she wants to explore new things, and be challenged in a different way. But the way she’s going about it is dramatic for sure.

7. He obviously did his homework, but I don’t think he factored in a lot of other people Clarissa works with, and things that could potentially go wrong.
8. Nah they didn’t deserve to be murdered. It’s not like they were taking the money for themselves. It was for a good cause.

1. Russians have a reputation for being a little unfriendly. It’s possible he knew that ‘interfering’ with the Russians could cost him his life.
2. Yes! Especially if Rooi and Kassie are the lead investigators.
3. Yes, just think that the more they ask questions the more they’re able to uncover the truth.
4. I think Clarissa has grown too trusting if Dolf, possibly out of laziness or possibly out of necessity but she’s far too relaxed for my liking.
5. I didn’t see it coming. Honestly, I was a bit shocked. It comes across as a little juvenile.

7. I think he’s capable enough to swindle Clarissa but I’m not so sure about Barnabas. That being said he knows what he’s doing and I think he got a lot of insight from Esposito.

11. Barnabas definitelyhas tabs on everyone. If I were a gangster I wouldn’t trust anyone. So, it really makes sense that he’s being followed because I can imagine criminals are always paranoid. Clarissa is far too trusting for her own good.
12. Yes, and no. I think that he knows not to mess with people who are questions him about the nature of his work with the twins but.. he did give it up a bit to easily.

1. This is something that is suspicious about Mabula. Perhaps he had some run in with them before?
2. At first I did not think so and thought it was just setting the scene for the kind of characters Clarissa and Dolf are.
3. Yes, they are making progress!
4. Clarissa trusts him a lot.
5. I understand where she is coming from, especially with their age gap. She was young when she fell in love and perhaps more infatuated by the person she believed him to be than the person he was. Or maybe Arend really did change over time. Either way, her feelings are valid. People change and so do the way they feel about each other.
6. No. Learning Dolf’s true motives made me feel icky about him. If I had to choose, I would be on Clarissa’s side.
7. Dolf might think he was being smart, but he has actually gotten himself into a situation far more dangerous than he is capable of handling.
8. No. They may be criminals, but they were not that bad. Definitely not evil enough to deserve murder.
9. She probably wants to partner up with Robert to continue the job she’s currently doing with Arend.

11. For Barnabas. Clarissa trusts Dolf, but Barnabas does not.

– I think that there is some history there that we are not fully aware of. I think he might be in bed with the Russians.
– The detective in Bloemfontein was suspicious from the start with regards to the death, so I do think questions would’ve been asked however if there wasn’t this special unit, I don’t think it would’ve been connected.
– I think that Clarissa is blindingly trusting the wrong people.
– It doesn’t surprise me. I think she is a bit hardcore and wants results fast and Arend is of a patient nature.
– No not at all. I still feel bad for the elderly women he stole from.
– I think this was manufactured and planned from the beginning. Dolf saw a target and did everything in his power to eliminate all obstacles.
– To the brains of the operation – YES. They were skimming from the top and anyone wouldn’t want that. Them helping in the community – NO.

1. Russians are seen as ruthless gangsters so understandably he was afraid for his life.

4. She has far too much trust in Dolf considering she’s been doing this for years and should know better.

11. Definitely for Barnabas, Clarissa believed he was trustworthy.
12. He did but he knew these people weren’t to be messed with so it wasn’t an easy situation to be in.
