A – That was a surprise and I think that she may have planned the forced proximity with Parker. It was really difficult to stop reading after

My brain work in numbers, so I struggle with words/writing, it has often stopped me from posting or interacting on social media, often with a loss of words as what to say.
I think Parker will always be her muse, there is an emotional connection there.
I don’t think there is a forced proximity connection with CAA.
She starting to realize that she needs to get out more and it could give her content for her screenplay.

I think Parker has had a lonely life, so friends are needed but the fact that people abuse his status, money and friendship is sad. He seemed to become successful very quickly and jealousy or wanting to make a quick buck cause some people to cash in. he was probably working to hard to form strong bonds with his friends.

1. Absolutely! I still remember the sleepless nights trying to draft an adequate dissertation. Just writing was not enough – everything felt like rubbish. Consistency is the only thing that helps remove the block.
2. I think Elle’s anger and determination are the real fuel behind her inspiration. Parker just inspired those feelings. She is not writing a horror movie where her feelings of hatred would be appropriate. I really think her “I’ll show you” attitude is the key to her writing and she will realise this as the story continues.
3. I don’t think anyone could have predicted Elle’s creative reaction to Parker. I know agents and agencies are very powerful, but this seems like God-like insight.
4. Honestly, Elle does not need that much persuasion to go out. I get the feeling that she wants to explore and try new things, but strictly on her own terms. She knows that authentic writing only comes from authentic experience and this was her way of perfecting her craft.
5. There is something about the way that Elle fits into social circles while skirting the periphery. I think she has experience in this lifestyle, but purposefully shunned it after a sour experience. It feels more like a glimpse into her past.
6. Parker figuring out Elle’s movie (and quoting from it) tells me that he is attentive to detail. If she hadn’t challenged him to unmask her identity, this may have been invasive and creepy. However, he took her challenge at face value and exceeded her expectations.
7. Elle and Parker’s assumptions of each other are superficial and generic. How much can you really find out about a person in one night at a noisy club?
8. I found it quite presumptuous of Parker to assume he could cure Elle’s writer’s block or assist her writing in any way! As these things go, priorities and expectations will shift, but I hope we can avoid a third-act breakup.

A: I think it they had taken the time to speak more, they would have atleast figured out a few things about each other. A: I can’t express how happy I was at the fake dating trope. I love how much angst that specific trope has and how they always ends up falling in love just that much deeper. Yes, I’ve experienced it many times. Looking at the blank screen wondering why the words can’t come or how to make them pour out. It’s such a helpless feeling.
I think Parker will continue to be her muse, especially after the scene when he’s giving her ideas and showing himself to be what I’m going to assume is a hopeless romantic. Even if someone else appears I think it’s always going to be Parker.
Hmm, I’m not so sure about CAA being behind the forced proximity – my biggest guess is because of how chapter 10 ends!
I think she attended because she started wondering if Penelope was right? When you have writers block or any type of creative block you’d try just about anything. Plus how could she say no to the dress?

Yes, their assumptions may be different if they had taken the time to get to know each other, however, all those actions – or lack thereof – led us to the moments we are experiencing now. If anything else different happened at the club we might be in a very different book.
I hope there isn’t a third act break up! But if there is then it’s going to have to do with her identity being leaked because she’s so worried about it!! Do I SEE the chemistry with Parker and Elle? No. I FEEL it.Marriage doesn’t have to mean the loss of your independence. It’s who you’re married to that really counts. It’s the way that Elle was brought up and we see that in the mini flashbacks of what her mother said to her. It’s what she’s been conditioned to think and/or what she’s seen in her life. We all are influenced by what we see growing up and it helps us define what relationships/marriages could actually mean. To some it’s a loss of indepence but to others it’s starting a new life and family.
The contractor intrigues me because of the way Parker reacted to him! So he COULD possibly get in the way but maybe not how we think? Is Parker hiding something?
Writing can be so cathartic so I can see why Elle feels this way, I have felt this way myself through writing, talking, other forms of creativity or even just seeing myself and relating to a book character and what they’re going through. There are many ways for self reflection.
My jaw dropped at the ending of chapter 10 – I gasped out loud because that was the last thing I was expecting. Her sister was mentioned in an earlier chapter today and Elle also made the comment to the contractor about charging the owners more so I was curious about that but I honestly didn’t expect that reveal.

A – PLOT TWIST! -
♡ Absolutely, especially when the ideas are there but just won’t cooperate. It really does feel like some invisible monster is holding the words hostage. I totally related to Elle in those moments, wanting to write, needing to create, but being stuck in silence.
♡I think Parker definitely sparks something in Elle, creatively and emotionally. But muses can change throughout a story and I’m curious to see if someone els, maybe if there is a new character we meet later which might end up inspiring her in a different way. For now, Parker still has that “main muse” energy though

♡I think she wanted to prove something to Parker and to herself. Dressing up was her way of stepping back into confidence and control. Plus, a part of her definitely wanted to see him, even if she pretended it was all business.

1. Yes totally. I love to draw and sometimes the blank page is just too daunting. I think the trick is that you need to let go of your perfectionism and be okay with creating something that’s bad. Just getting it onto the page.
