   1) Yes. More and more he is showing his gentle side but I don’t trust it

   3)Garret is justified because he literally just helped her and she was being ungrateful

   6)I honestly had no theories at this point. Did not think her secret was an illicit relationship.

   7)I think he was killed by someone who didnt want him to talk to anyone else

   8)The tension in this scene was amazing and further solidified him as my favorite love interest

   9) 100% yes, if she doesn’t go along with his plans

   10) she is trying to blend into the shadows but I think she is trying to secure the king because of pressure from her parents

   1. Yes, a little. It shows he really pays attention and genuinely cares about her comfort.

   2. Most likely, someone powerful, maybe they are tied to the court or the king and who wants her to stop digging.

   3. I liked how calm he stayed. He didn’t get defensive.

   4. It shows she still cares about him, even if she’s angry.

   5. It’s really touching. Tari doesn’t follow for drama, she follows out of loyalty and love.

   6. Possibly someone involved in spying or politics.

   7. I don’t think he just left. It feels more like he was silenced or taken

   8. It’s sweet and intense. It shows he wants her safe.

   9. Possibly. He cares, but his need for control might make him try to “protect” her in unhealthy ways.

   10. Yes, she doesn’t seem fully invested. Maybe she doesn’t trust him

   Are you just as surprised as Alissa that Erik noticed her lack of appetite and is willing to make a dish that is more to her taste?
   Not really I think he really cares for her in a werid way

   When Alissa returns to her room she is confronted by a man telling her to stop her search. What do you think of this? Who do you think sent him?
   I was surprised by this but I guess it was expected – but i have no idea who it could be

   Garret arrives in time to help Alissa with the man. Instead of thanking him, she accuses Garret of being no better than the man who attacked her. What do you think of Garret’s response?
   he had a valid response, Alissa needs to chill

   After the heated moment between the two of them, Alissa uses her spectre to embrace Garret. What do you think this intimate moment means for the two of them?

   In Chapter Nineteen, Alissa gives us greater insight into her and Tari’s relationship. She says “Tari has never followed me into trouble blindly; she followed so I wouldn’t bear the trouble alone.” Do you have someone who would do the same for you?

   Who do you think the man was that Carmen kissed? What do you think is his role in all of this? it could literally be anyone but im hoping its no one of significance

   Alissa hunts for the blacksmith that made the eurium dagger. She managed to find that the blacksmith is Kevi but he has essentially gone missing two months ago. Kevi seemed like a shady character based on the description given by the woman in the shop. Do you think Kevi just skipped town after his delivery or do you think something else happened to him? something else definetly happened to him

   Alissa runs into Keil at the market and he gives her a lesson in self-defence. What do you think of this intimate moment between the two of them? Keil cares for Alissa deeply and he wants her to be able to take care of herself.

   Keil warns Alissa that kings only lock up treasures. Would Erik lock Alissa up? Keep her away from everyone she loved? i think so yes.

   The court is putting Alissa and Perla against each other but do you get the feeling that Perla isn’t trying very hard to get the king’s attention? If so, why do you think she isn’t pursuing him? Perla is hiding something i can feel it i just dont know what yet.

   Tied to the court of the King surely, you don’t want someone digging if they seem to be on the right path.

   She’s so annoying, he didn’t deserve that. Girls annoy me when they do that bro.

   Yo-yo. Not keen on that sort of thing to be honest. Like… please.

   Not sure.

   I think something else happened to him.

   I love it! Empowerment through combat, sucker for that.

   Possible.

   1. Yes, he must have an ulterior motive. He must want win her over for a devious reason. I dont trust Erik at all.

   2. I was scared for her. i hope this does not deter her search although I must admit i think if i were her i would stop. he entered her rooms undected what else would he have been able to do if he wanted to.

   3. I think his response was way better than mine I think I would have lost it considering he had just saved her and she was attacking him instead.

   4. I think it reminds them who they are to each other or atleast who they used to be to one another.

   5. Yes, my mother and my husband. No questions asked

   6. I didn’t even think she could potentially be in a secret relationship, but perhaps it’s a known weilder and that’s why they have to be so secretive.

   7. I think he is either being held captive to make more weapons or he was killed.

   8. I love that their relationship is growing because I absolutely love the two of them together over Alissa and Garret

   9. I think he would.

   10. I think she either has another lover or she is disgusted by his actions as much as Alissa is.

   1) I think Erik has a really soft spot for Alissa – however, I am not sure if it’s genuine or he has another agenda for being so attentive toward her!

   2) I thought this could have been someone from the copycats – but how would they know that she’s been searching for answers – so now I’m not sure! Unless there’s someone working with them from inside the court or closer to the nobles that has visibility on what Alissa has been doing.

   3) I think it shows that he is fighting on both sides, the side of the Hunter but also being a friend to Alissa and keeping her true nature a secret. He still cares very much, regardless of who he is now and his obligation as a Hunter.

   4) This moment acts as a sort of olive branch between the two – him showing her that he accepts her and Alissa being vulnerable with him. A flashback to the time long ago when he flinched and was angered by her Spectre. They still care deeply about one another.

   5) That’s a very real and true friend. I am lucky enough to have people like that in my life.

   6) I’m not sure – maybe someone from the copycats / her co-conspirator in whatever she is involved in that was linked to the secret messages that Alissa had stumbled across.

   7) I have a suspicion that something happened to him! Carrying something so valuable – I doubt he just ran away with it.

   8) This was such a great moment – you could feel the electricity between them.

   9) I definitely get that vibe from Erik – that he likes to collect valuable things, and with the way he has been treating her, he would definitely want to keep her for himself.

   10) I’m not sure what I’m getting from Perla – it seems as though she hates the attention Alissa is getting from the King, but at the same time does not want any attention from him either. The scene at the end of this Chapter though was so tense, I really held my breath to see if they would release the arrow and into Perla. Maybe Perla is hiding something and pursuing the king will threaten that.

   1. Yes, definitely surprised by his observations of her. He watches her more closely than you realize which is romantic but also dangerous!

   2. Whoever has compass definitely sent him to stop her search. Possibly the copy cat hunters?

   3. She was so ungrateful in that moment. I was surprised he stayed so calm

   4. It was definitely a moment of vulnerability from her but its a nod to their past relationship.

   5. That was such a sweet comparison! I am very close to some of my cousins and I have no doubt that they would be the same.

   6. At this point I think it might just be a random person of a lower class – and the secrets were due to their relationship being forbidden. I don’t think its anyone of importance

   7. It sounds like something happened to him or he went into hiding.

   8. I love their budding relationship but sometimes their stolen moments feel very risky due to their location!

   9. Yeah, I think he would do something like that to keep her.

   10. I think Perla is afraid of the King and seems like she might be the victim of some kind of abuse – so she likely shies away from many people. She’s doing it because she has no other choice it seems, so she does the bare minimum

   3. Im honestly torn… I can see we’re both of them are coming from… I feel like she was a bit harsh though

   4. I think it shows that she subconsciously still considers him her friend even though she doesn’t want to admit it

   5. I don’t but I bet it would be nice!!

   6. I have no clue who he is but I’m sure he plays a big part in all of this!

   7. I definitely feel like something has happened to him

   8. There’s barely a lot of moments between the two so I loved it!!

   A – I would not put it past him, he seems to be cruel

   A – I feel that she does not want to win his attention and is trying her best to fade into the background

    Yes I was, at times he seems to really care about her so much so that I sometimes like him in a weird way

    Whoever owns the key but I am so confused right now about this!

    His response was really valid – she was rude and ungrateful but sometimes it’s like he feels he deserves it

    They are becoming as close as they were as children and hoping to seal the emotional wounds they both have

    It would of been my mom, my husband is a bit to logical to be led astray lol

    It must be someone helping her or has to do with all the secrets she is keeping

    I have a feeling he was probably murdered or kidnapped

    I think it was sort of romantic, they both clearly are obsessed with each other

    Keil seems to be right about that and I am believing that what he is saying is true

    I think Perla knows that he is a monster but she is being forced – she has some secrets too I suspect!

    Yes, that was considerate of him, but I still have my suspicions.

    It’s a warning and it means she’s closing in on important information. I am not sure who sent him.

    She knew he changed and despised her nature. Garrett’s response was emotional and he tried to explain the situation he is in and what he feels.

    4. After the heated moment between the two of them, Alissa uses her spectre to embrace Garret. What do you think this intimate moment means for the two of them?
    It shows that she still cares for him, and the fact that he brushed her power shows he cares for her and doesn’t despise her.
