1. Yes. It caught me off guard, but it makes sense.
2. Bold, but very Keil. It feels half real and half a distraction, like he’s testing her and the room at the same time.
3. It felt genuine. Even when he pulls away, he’s still watching out for her.
4. The King sees Keil as a threat, and by poisoning him, I feel he tried to keep his hands clean, but get rid of the problem.
5. Something linked to protecting Wielders, possibly freeing someone or helping her later on.
6. It seems very likely. Too many hints line up for it to be a coincidence.
7. They’re hopeful but heavy wishes. Her wishes aren’t selfish.
8. Yes. It feels like a warning of what happens when you step out of line.
9. It is surprising, but it raises the stakes.
10. She’s preparing for escape or betrayal. For me, it shows that she doesn’t fully trust the court either.
11. I think she suspects something. Carmen seems too observant to miss the signs.

No I knew he was going to be of significance in this story
I think it’s cute, he’s clearly attracted to her so why not
He’s concerned about her
The king wants to take over the ambassadors land I think or he wants to prove a point
She’s hoping he will help her and return a favour later on
Yes
It’s reasonable
Absolutely
I was very surprised but kept me on the edge of my seat
She’s hiding a secret
I think Carmen is suspicious and doesn’t want to show all her cards yet but she knows somethings up

1) I was not surprised. I had a feeling it would be him. There was no way they had that much chemistry only for their paths to never cross again.
2) I think he enjoys the risk of it, from what I’ve seen of his character, he enjoys playing with fire.
3)I think it shows how caring he is, and the kind of man he is. He still thinks about Alissa being hurt even though he’s in a tough situation
4) I think he was trying to assert dominance, to let Keil know him being allowed in the palace is a favour and he needs to remember his place.
5) I think she wants to know more about Ansora and her abilities. He is the only person she knows who is comfortable with his abilities.
6) At the time, this thought did not cross my mind.
7) I found it so interesting that the king probably thought it was something romantic but she was actually wishing for his downfall. I understand her wishes, she has to smile at the man she hates most, wishing was the most hopeful thing she could do at that time.
8) Yes. It is very clear what happens to people who sympathize with Weilders and I think Alissa’s kingdom may get it the worst because of her position at court and her basically “deceiving” the king this whole time.
9)I was so surprised! I wasn’t sure if this meant Carmen was an enemy or if there was more at play.
10) I think she knows more than she pretends to and she has plans to dethrone her cousin
11)I think Carmen definitely suspects something. Her seeing the feather definitely put her on high alert.

1. No, I kind of had a feeling it would be him.
2. I love how bold he is, and they clearly have chemistry.
3. It shows that he’s not just toying with her, but that he actually cares for her.
4. I think this was nothing more than a power play, a way to show Keil who’s in charge.
5. I think either something to do with her abilities or possibly helping her protect a loved one.
6. Yes, I think so.
7. I really felt for her in that scene, and her wishes make sense for anyone in her position.
8. Yes, it definitely feels like a hint at what could happen.
9. I was surprised. It immediately filled my head with a bunch of different theories.
10. She’s definitely hiding something important, I just don’t know whether that’s something that could hurt Alissa or protect her.
11. I think so, Carmen is way too vigilant to let something like that slip. I just think she’s waiting to find out more before confronting her. -

1) Yes and no – I knew Keil would be someone important, but I didn’t think it would be ambassador (but I did kind of hope)!
2) Risky business! But it seems like it is just in his nature to be flirtatious – I think this also brings up the chemistry they had in the previous chapter – and the banter.
3) He is showing that he does have some sort of affection toward Alissa – be it friendship or more, who knows.
4) He wants to find out if Keil is actually a wielder – which everyone is actually sceptical about (i.e. why would they send a wielder to a country where they are Hunted) and also to provoke him so he loses his diplomatic immunity perhaps.
5) Maybe something to do with the compass.
6) I think they are perhaps very close to the empress – or higher in her court than the usual players.
7) I think this very much shows exactly what her intentions are and there is no way to change her m ind.
8) I think it is perhaps more a warning than a foreshadowing.
9) I don’t like the fact that it links to her – I honestly felt she was a good character. someone to trust.
10) Maybe she is with the copycats? ( I hope not) Some way to send secret messages.
11) Carmen is very smart and observant, I am sure she figured out that (at the very least) Alissa was in her room.

No, I wasn’t.
I like senseless flirtation from time to time so I mean to each their own.
Think it’s cute. He cares about her.
Get ride of your threats – very President Snow of him.
Not sure yet, but hopefully it’s worthwhile.
Yes, I think so.
Edge on my seat, I was surprised!
She’s hiding something. If it’s good or bad in its outcome remains to be seen.
Yes, I think she has.

1. I was able to predict he was the ambassador however, I was still surprised at the revelation but also so excited to see what this would mean for Alissa.
2. I love it! I loved their banter and him making her feel “fuzzy” in a good way.
3. It made me giggle like a teenager I absolutely love an MMC who cares and notices the smallest things.
4. I think he wanted to get a reaction out of the ambassador and to show that he is in control and could hurt at anytime.
5. I hope she asks him to show her how to use her power and how she can improve her abilities.
6. A lot of the information we have read so far points directly to that.
7. “I wish monsters like you never hurt Wielders again. I wish you get everything you deserve. I wish I could take back the things you’ve made me do.” I love that she stood up to Erik and showed him how shhe feels about the things he does to weilders.
8. It does seem that way. However, I hope that Alissa finds a way to change that.
9. This was a plot twist I was not expecting especially since Carmen is her friend.
10. i think she is secretly communicating with someone who has information about the compass or she is communicating with the person who has the compass.
11. I think Carmen is observant enough to notice the feathers that were still stuck to Alissa
-
1. Yes I was! Though it makes things so much more interesting!!
2. I find it so cute!! A bit dangerous but cute
3. It was so sweet. It definitely showed us more of his caring side regardless of the situation
4. I think he’s trying to expose him. He doesn’t want to openly accuse him but I think it’s only because he’s enjoying toying with keil
5. It’s probably going to be something that’s going to benefit her goal
6. It would definitely make sense that they are!
7. It was very interesting… she seems like she won’t stop until she gets this wish
8. Yes it so sad but by the looks of it this is the way things will go
9. It definitely has me suspicious. I’m still not sure if u should trust her or not
10. I feel like it definitely has something to do with her mother
11. Carmen is smart so I wouldn’t be surprised… I don’t think she’ll reveal it so soon though

I did have a feeling we would see him at court!
I think he was very brave to do that surrounded by all the court members
He seems to really care about her
Maybe he wants to start a war but wants to be seen as innocent
I think she wants him to help her escape
Yes I think he might be royalty or related to royalty by being the children or grandchildren
She shows her genuine intentions as a person
Yes, it was so sad
I was really surprised! I really was thrown by that but it makes everything more intense
She is hiding so much more than we knew – something seriously fishy is happening and it is hard to see what side she is on
I think Carmen knows something but she wants to use that information for her own advantage….for now….

– I was surprised the way he acted didn’t scream that he was a part of high society.
– I loved it, although it was quite bold.
– I think it means that he cares for her.
– I think he has a suspicion that Keil has magic but he couldn’t confront him without proof.
– I think it would come out when she reveals herself.
– I think they might be that’s why Keil is such a threat.
– She spoke her truth into the seeds (a vulnerable moment for her).
– I definitely think that it was foreshadowing if she is revealed.
– I would never had expected it.
– I do think she has a bolting box.
– I think Carmen knows but there’s something deeper there. -
