1. I am beyond proud of how far Wisani has come, but I also feel a deep sadness for all her losses. She has had to navigate so much pain and trauma. Happy to see her and Mohapi still together ❤️
2. Thuto is bad news. That brother really rubs me up the wrong way. He brings trouble with a capital T !
3. I think, given the nature of the conversation – is there ever really a good time ? I think he was a gentle and clear and he could have been. But alas, we women are emotionally charged beings. He waited for her to make the next move (indicating she was ready), and the he discussed it.
4. Not sure about Mohapi, but Wisani – yes !
5. Noooo, I was so surprised you would think I was being proposed too. But, yay for LOVE! I’m so glad he wants to give her a respectable life, with honour.
6. The brothers discussed it in previous chapters, but still…. I was hoping once baby was here – he would have a change of heart. Or at least wait until baby is past breastfeeding stage. He is clearly incapable of taking care of his baby and has thrust that responsibility onto his sisters-in law. He irks me!
7. I don’t believe in ancestors, personally. My religious and personal beliefs differ to the characters in the book. Karma, however, she came to claim her stake. Everything we do to others eventually catches up to us. Good and bad.
8. Honestly, I thought it was Ntombela’s family coming for vengeance.
9. Yeah, it is possible for people to regret their actions. Sadly, a lot of people only start regretting their actions when the consequences catch up to them. But, I am happy Luhlelwa received her apology and got to see her father come to regret his actions.
10. To cause trouble, as usual. As a mother myself, I would hope that her visit is sincere and purely out of concern for her children. But, then I remember that she hasn’t cared for said children for a large majority of their lives. So trouble, it is !

1. I think that Wisani, by just being herself, managed to change that stone cold heart of Mohapis for the better, they now have legit businesses and are planning for their furture, were as in part 1 and part 2 it was all about the next heist and when it will be.
2. Yes because he is a act first think later type of person, the chaos he brings is absolutely detrimental to all those around him.
3. I think that Mashile’s intentions were good but his execution of them was definitely not on point, he should have told her in the beginning that he thought she should be cleansed and what them starting a relationship means to him. The moment wasn’t right.
4. I think it will make them broody for their own kids and heal apart of them that didnt heal when they lost their own child, it might be more therapeutic for Luhlelwa though, as she navigates her life with Mashile now.
5. 100%, with Mohapis proposal after 3 meetings with Wisani, I knew these two where going to get married as well when he brought her back to their home.
6. We kinda saw it coming in part two that he was just waiting for the baby to be born before he offed her, so it didnt surprise me, again hes the act first think about consequences later type.
7. Yes her ancestors where definitely looking out for her, from the way her fathers life deteriorated after she was kicked out, there was definitely divine intervention to what happened to him and his second family.
8. At first I thought it was the gangsters from Ntombelas side or the someone else’s family member who they had killed but then we find out it’s actually the previous security detail for the minister, I didnt see that coming.
9. I think he is a father living with regret and guilt from what he did to his child and that the only way he knew how to atone for his sins and ease his conscience is to give his child a way out, should she need it
10. I think she there to cause chaos and watch how it all plays out, theres no mother alive that would leave her children the way she did, return and not cause some kind of destruction in her path.

They needed a moment to figure out how to navigate all that. I thought it was good there was a bit of space for them to do that whilst still being together.

Yes! His reaction was not great. It was cringe. I felt so bad for her. Any girl would have immediately withdrawn into herself and felt so exposed. Shame man.
I thought it was too soon for them to have that baby in the house. Like the loss was still so raw. Wisani as always just takes things in her stride but with all the life changes it was not the best time.
Since I realised the book is based on everyone at once, I have been thinking about why the author did not do a interconnected series. So another marraige proposal was unexpected.
How absolutely nonchalant he was about it. Completely detached. It was so dark to read I thought I can imagine how outraged Wisani must feel.
Yes, I think they definitely had. I think she was owed some goodness after everything she’s been through.
I initially thought it was retaliation for Popo’s baby mama’s family but now since finishing the book the other security company they are in competition with might be the culprits, I also have my eyes on Ramisilo…
Yes, I think her father must have learnt the value of family the very hard way. That was freeing for them both.
Apart of me thought the ghost mother wants redemption. She could also have been around for money. We won’t know anymore.

I think it is understandable to have some changes, especially when having dealt with so much in a relatively short space of time.
Do you think Thuto showing up on the steps of the Pimville house is bad news?
Yes, why would he show up unexpectedly, with his child and it feel like he expected the women to just take over and manage his responsibility of looking after this child.
Luhlelwa decides to make a move. What do you think of what Mashile said? Do you think he could’ve done it better? Or would there never have been a right time?
I think he is very awkward and learning to open up, which is not something he appears to have done before. So yes he could have handled it better, but I also acknowledge this is new territory for him and he is also learning how to be open and verbalise how he feels about Luhlelwa. I also think she is also feeling very vulnerable and due to this would easily take offense even if none was meant.
Do you think that having Thuto’s child in the house will be healing for Wisani and Mohapi?
I think it will be hard for them, as it will bring the emotions they may not have fully addressed and are still coming to terms with.
Did you expect Mashile’s request to marry Luhlelwa to come in this book?

I wasn’t entirely surprised, as it was hinted at earlier on that he was just waiting.

I would like to think so, I also believe it helped her be less fearful when returning home to him, knowing things haven’t worked out well for him and that she wouldn’t have to deal with the stepmother.

I am wondering what Thuto has got them involved in and if he got on the bad side of someone who was out to get them now.

I think he is really trying to make amends for the way he wronged her in the past and is now finally looking out for her and wants her to have more options in her life. For me this show he has grown and has most likely done a lot to clean up his life.
Why do you think the ghost mother is returning to the scene?
Im not sure what she is hoping to gain or her real reason for being there.
It feels like she has a hidden agenda
